Ormeau Table Tennis Club in partnership with VANRATH hosted our first Corporate Singles tournament where we
On the day it was Ranjit Singh (Citi) who took the top honours with a great final against Mark Sidebottom (BBC Sport NI). Mark came out strong leading the first set but could not hold off the fierce Citi opponent who was cracking the forehands and eventually took the match 3-1, well done Ranjit!
In the battle for bronze we saw two Ormeau clubmates battle it out with Brendan O’Fiaich (CCEA) taking a 3-0 victory over iManage’s Stephen Sheridan!
Running alongside the Main event was the consolation event for players who finished 3rd/4th in their first round groups. After many close battles it was Fujitsu’s Ian Fulerton who overcome a slow 2-0 start against Mel OHagan from Allstate and take the Consolation title 3-2!
